Mice and rats are the two most common pests in our household. The rats are normally associated with poverty but in reality they can thrive in a diverse type of environment. Shape of the Body

They can weigh at least 300 grams. On the other hand, the house mouse is a lot smaller even when compared to the baby rat. Their feet and head are smaller in relation to their body. The roof rat also has discernible difference even to a Norway rat. The body of this create is much slender and a little bit lighter. It can weigh at the minimum of 200grams.

Shape of the Snout

Ear, Hair and Tails

The Lakelad roof rat will have a larger ear and it will not have any hair. The entire color of their tail appears to be dyed in black. The house mouse has a large ear relative to their body size. Their ears can have few hairs. The tone of their tails will be similar to roof rat which is dark in color.

Successful pest control will rely upon your capacity to determine the type of species that have invaded your house. Simply knowing that it belongs to the rodent family will never be enough. For instance, setting up small traps will not be effective against the rats. Baiting procedure will also depend upon the nuisance creature in your attic.
